But then a leader steps up and reminds us what honesty, guts and public service are about.

Okay, it’s really more like 7 and a half minutes. But that’s still pretty fast…
I was traveling yesterday when the Marriage Equality vote went down in New York, so I missed the debate. I assumed it was more of the same rhetoric we’ve been hearing in other parts of the country with the wrong result.
But State Senator Diane Savino summed up the issue in an amazingly smart, heartfelt, common-sense statement that cuts to the core of what is really at stake with marriage equality. Read the rest of this entry »
